Sony Ericsson T250i Mobile Phone


Sony-Ericsson has today launched Sony Ericsson T250i budget mobile phone in India which features 1.7-inch 65K colors CSTN display, a integrated VGA camera, FM Radio, and Stamina battery for extra long talktime.

The new dual-band GSM 900/1800 MHz network ready Sony Ericsson T250i has sleek brushed compact metallic body and is available in Aluminium Silver, Aluminium Black colors. The handset features 1.7-inch, 128×160 pixels size, 65,536 colours CSTN display and it comes with 2-MB internal memory. The handset, does not sport memory expansion card slot.

The sleek Sony Ericsson T250i budget mobile phone weights only 82 grams and is small enough to easily carry in a bag, briefcase or pocket, measuring only 100 mm x 45 mm x 13 mm.
Sony Ericsson T250i mobile phone also features an integrated VGA camera having 640 x 480 pixels resolution allowing users store and organize up to 50 pictures on the photo album application of the phone. The digital camera also capable of recording video in standard QCIF video format.

The Sony Ericsson T250i mobile phone has a spin effect navigation key which allows easy and fast switching between menus & options.
The handset also features integrated FM radio with RDS and FM alarm feature along with 20 station preset memory.

Connectivity options on Sony-Ericsson T250i mobile phone:
- WAP 2.0, WAP Push
- GPRS Class 10 (upto 48 kbps)
- HSCSD high speed wireless connection
- IrDA (Infrared)
- Synchronization with PC using USB port connection
The Sony Ericcson T250i comes with 2-MB internal memory and does not have option for memory expansion slot. The handset offers upto 300 entries phonebook, and allows recording of upto 20 received, dialed and missed call recrords.

Other features of Sony Ericsson T250i includes GPRS class 10 (upto 48 kbps), HSCSD connection, a timer, stopwatch, slide show application, a built-in handsfree speakphone and infrared port connection option which allows connection to other compatible infra red devices. But sadly this handset does not feature, now a standard feature on all mobile phone handsets, the microUSB port for wired data connectivity.

HCL Would Market Apple iPods and desktops in India


HCL Infosystems, a IT company, entered into a non-exclusive strategic agreement with Apple Computers to distribute Apple desktop computers and its hot selling portable digital musical gadget iPod in India.

HCL said it would provide compelete sales and service support for distribution of Apple iPods in India which will be available in the price range of Rs 4,000 to Rs 23,000 through its wast network of 1,000 HCL retail outlets across the country.

As of now, almost all Apple iPods in India have been sold by unorganised retail and grey market mostly in big cities.
Ajai Chowdhury, CEO and Chairman of HCL Infosystems, said “HCL plans to sell and distribute Apple Desktop computers for Education, media and Entertainment purposes.”

HCL Infosystems had similar kind of strategic agreements TOSHIBA for selling laptops and notebook PCs in India through its large regional distribution network.
